    FTKEK received a visit from teachers and students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Datuk Abdul Rahman Ya’akub, SDARY Merlimau today. The visit started with an explanation about FTKEK by Prof. Dr. Badrul Hisham Ahmad. Next, students from SDARY presented their innovation project titled Arsy Smart City. This innovation project has won the Techlympics 2023 competition for the Smart City category. Next, the group was taken to visit the Micro and Nano Electronics Research Laboratory. In this laboratory, they were exposed to the manufacturing process of solar panels that are widely used in Smart City. Next, the group was taken to the Automation Laboratory. Here, they have the opportunity to program and use SMC automation equipment with the guidance of lecturer, Dr Ahmad Sadhiqin and FTKEK teaching engineer. SMC automation equipment is equipment used in the automation industry. The excitement of SDARY students is clearly visible. Closing the tour, the group was taken to visit the Microwave Research Group's research laboratory. In this laboratory, they had the opportunity to see the Anechoic Chamber, an equipment used to measure microwave frequencies. Associate Prof Dr Imran Mohd Ibrahim has accompanied the SDARY delegation throughout their stay at FTKEK. Hopefully it will open the interest of SDARY's younger brothers and sisters to continue their studies in the field of Electronic Engineering at FTKEK UTeM one day


    We are happy to share that the visit from Polytechnic Merlimau Melaka (PMM) representatives to the ST IoT Lab, FTKEK was successful!
    Thank you to everyone who participated, especially to the Head of Department (HoD) of JKE, who led the group of students in the Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Computer) program at PMM. This visit would not have been a success without the enthusiasm and support of all parties involved.

  • BiCeP 2023

    Thank you to Ms. Izadora and Mr. Nadzri from the Biomedical Electronic team, FTKEK for providing a very useful explanation about the opportunity to continue studying to the degree level at UTeM in the BioMedical Industry by Career Path Program (BiCeP 2023). Hopefully the information shared can enlighten the students of KKTM Ledang.


    On November 8 - 9, 2023, the Faculty of Technology and Electronic and Computer Engineering was pleased to receive the visit of the External Inspector for the DER program namely: Prof. Ir. Dr. Sharul Kamal bin Abdul Rahim, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Many feedbacks were given by him for the purpose of improving the DER Program. He is also satisfied with the progress of the program so far. The highest appreciation goes to Prof. Associate Dr. Masrullizam bin Mat Ibrahim, Dean of FTKEK, Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Fauzi bin Ab Rahman, Deputy Academic Dean of FTKEK, Ts. Dr. Noor Asyikin binti Sulaiman, Head of Electronics Engineering Diploma Department, Ts. Khairul Anuar bin A Rahman, FTKEK Laboratory Coordinator, and Ts. Effendy Onn bin Siam, FTKEK Laboratory Deputy Coordinator and all the FTKEK Electronic Engineering Diploma Department instructors who have been present together throughout the visit session.


    On 20 October 2023, the Faculty of Technology and Electronics and Computer Engineering was pleased to receive a visit from two Industry Advisory Panel members for the BERL program namely:

    Siemens Malaysia Bhd., Petaling Jaya, Selangor
    2. Ts. Muhammad Didi Hendra Shah bin Norharashid
    Managing Director,
    Hadi Venture Sdn Bhd, Shah Alam, Selangor
    A lot of feedback was given by both advisors regarding the BERL program for the purpose of improvement. They are also satisfied with the progress of the program so far.
    The highest appreciation goes to Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Fauzi bin Ab Rahman as Deputy Academic Dean of FTKEK, Ts. Ahmad Nizam bin Mohd Jahari @ Mohd Johari as the Head of the Technology Department and FTKEK Technology Department instructors who have been present together throughout the visit.


    On October 23 to 27, 2023, a program was held between FTKEK and OnSemiconductor Sdn Bhd industry, which is located at FTKEK. Various activities have been carried out including knowledge sharing sessions, industrial exhibitions and student projects, industrial visits and microbit training. This program aims to strengthen the relationship between the faculty and the industry, which will provide benefits for both parties in the future. The five-day program was inaugurated by the UTeM Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Industry.


    In conjunction with the UTeM Convocation Ceremony which will take place from 4 to 6 November 2023, FTKEK has organized a "Hi-Tea & Hooding Ceremony" held at the UTeM Technology Campus Hall. The ceremony was officiated by the Dean of FKEKK, UTeM and attended by prospective graduates.
